2011 Auction Items
By popular demand, dinner will be accompanied by a very entertaining live auction
where many incredible items will be up for bid at even more incredible bargains.
This year's list of live auction items includes (list is continuously being updated up
until the date of the event):
1 - CASE MONTELENA VINEYARDS CABERNET SAUVIGNON - $600
WL Butler Family Cellars –situated in Woodside, this family vineyard was
established in 1996 on the eastern slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Carefully
selected rootstocks and vines of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are grown in a
perfect cool climate necessary for premium world class wines. Hand harvesting is
conducted each year by family and friends, the resulting wine is of exceedingly
limited production for you to enjoy.

3 - JOHN HARDY LARGE SILVER EARRINGS with bamboo detail - $250
Profits from the Bamboo line are donated to a reforestation project on Nusa Penida,
an island off the coast of Bali

4 - RIDGE VINEYARDS - 1999 MONTE BELLO
In this vintage, fermentations destined for in-barrel malolactic were started with
selected yeast; the rest—including all malolactics—were natural. Ninety-three
percent of the wine was racked to air-dried American Oak and—as part of our
ongoing comparison—seven percent to the best French Oak. In February, we
chose twenty-three of the thirty-six parcels for the Monte Bello. A conjunction of
intense black fruit, firm acid, and well-integrated tannin has produced one of the
finest vintages of an unusual decade. Balanced and approachable as a young
wine, this lovely Monte Bello will develop beautifully with ten to fifteen years of bottle

6 - CUSTOM SONG - $500-$1500
Before the bidding begins, Jim will perform a few of the songs he has written for
others. Jim will write a custom song of your choice. This could be for any special
person or event in your life, a wedding, a birthday, anniversary, Valentine’s Day,
retirement...the possibilities are endless. It could also work for a group i.e. a
business, social organization.
What mother would not want a song written in tribute? This is what Jim has done.
His repertoire includes songs for his mother, his brother, his music teacher, a
Valentine’s day love song for a wife commissioned by her husband, and another
celebrating a couples 25th wedding anniversary. His award winning songs have had
airtime on local stations and on National Public Radio. Who would you like to honor
in such a special way? This is a gift that will give and live forever. Includes an

10 - BREW NIGHT - $500
Your own Oktoberfest: Ales to lagers and pale to stout, there is a beer for every
palette and plate. In this hands-on seminar, you and up to 11 friends (12 total
guests) will learn by doing – brewing and sampling many different varieties of beer,
while nibbling on gourmet pub grub. You’ll come away, entertained, well-fed, ready
to brew your own beer, and carrying samples of homebrew’s best. 30 day lead time
for booking and most likely would be held next spring. This October and November
